Rain didn’t stop play at this year’s Stirling Festival of Cycling and Walking organised by Stirling Active Travel Hub.

Local kids shrugged off Sunday’s showers to enjoy a host of free festival activities from showing off their skills on the pump track and testing their agility in the balance zone, to having a ride in an electric cargo bike and making their own pedal powered smoothie.

Grown-ups also had their fair share of the fun, taking turns trying out the wide range of bikes on offer from a Penny Farthing to the latest electric bikes.

The main highlight for many festival goers however was Scotland’s cycle stunt team, who stunned the crowd with their daredevil mid-air flips and gravity defying giant jumps.

Emily Callan of Stirling Active Travel Hub said: “Chances are if you like cycling and walking in Scotland, you’re not put off by a bit of rain! It was great to see families getting together to try out different ways to get active. Everyone who tried out our new electric Forth Bikes had a huge smile on their face!”
